Overview

The Level 5 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care Management is designed for learners who want to develop the knowledge, management capabilities and professional skills required to progress within the health and social care sector or continue to higher-level study.

The programme provides a broad understanding of the principles and practices that underpin effective health and social care services, with a particular emphasis on leadership, management, quality, safeguarding, communication and person-centred practice.

For Armed Forces personnel and service leavers, the qualification can provide an opportunity to build on the leadership, teamwork, communication, organisation and decision-making skills developed during military service and apply them within a civilian health and social care environment.

Equivalency

Level 5 Extended diploma in Health care qualifications denote practical knowledge, skills, capacities, and competencies that are academically recognised as equivalent to the final year of a UK Bachelor’s Degree.

Learners are granted a maximum of 18 months’ access to complete the course from the date of enrolment.
