Entry Requirements

For entry onto the Level 6 Diploma in Information Technology qualification, learners must possess: 

  • Relevant NQF/QCF/RQF Level 5 Award/Diploma or at the level of GCE/GCSE or equivalent qualification 

Learner must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the course.

Curriculum topics may include, among others, advanced programming languages, cybersecurity management, network infrastructure design, cloud computing, data analytics, artificial intelligence, software engineering, and IT project management. 
    • Additionally, this diploma seeks to develop the specialised skills required for senior IT positions which can include expertise in advanced programming and software development, cybersecurity, network design and administration, cloud computing, data analysis, and project management. 
    • This diploma prepares graduates for advanced IT support positions, which enables them to provide technical support to users, troubleshoot complex IT issues, and manage IT infrastructure and systems as IT technicians.
  2. IT Management:
    • Further, Graduates with managerial skills acquired through a Level 6 Diploma may advance to IT management positions. They may become IT managers who supervise IT teams, projects, and company operations.
