Overview
The NCFE CACHE Level 5 Diploma in Leading and Managing an Adult Care Service is a nationally recognised qualification designed for individuals who are working in, or developing within, management and leadership roles in adult social care.
This advanced qualification develops the knowledge, skills and professional competence required to lead and manage high-quality adult care services effectively. It is particularly suitable for managers who want to strengthen their leadership capabilities, improve service delivery, develop their workforce and progress their career within the adult health and social care sector.
Who is it suitable for?
This qualification is most suitable for those working in a managerial role in adult care settings who are looking to progress their career. It is also appropriate for managers who have not yet achieved a vocational qualification at level 5.

Duration
The programme is available in 2 modes:
- 15 Month (Fast Track)
- 18 Months
Learners are granted a maximum of 18 months’ access to complete the course from the date of enrolment.

Do you need to be working to take this qualification?
Learners will need to be working in a managerial role in an appropriate setting to be able to study for the Level 5 Diploma in Leading and Managing an Adult Care Service as they will need to show competence in both knowledge and skills.
Entry Requirements
- There are no specific prior skills/knowledge a learner must have for this qualification.
- However, learners will need to be at least 19 years of age and may find it helpful if they have already achieved a level 3 qualification
Module Structure
To be awarded this qualification, learners are required to successfully achieve a minimum of 95 credits:- 80 credits from the mandatory units and
- a minimum of 15 credits from the optional units.
