ATHE Law Courses and CILEX Exemptions

ATHE Law courses enable the students who have successfully completed the course to claim exemptions for CILEX professional qualification

1. If a student has successfully completed ATHE Level 3 Diploma in Law or the ATHE Level 4 Extended Diploma in Law they can claim exemptions in Foundation Stage – Trainee may request an exemption from:

• F1 Legal Systems
• F3 Contract Law
• F6 Professional & Legal Skills: Legal Research

2. A student who has completed Level 5 ATHE in Law or ATHE Level 5 Extended Diploma in Law can progress to do the top up with the University to get the LLB degree. On successfully completion of the Law Degree, Law Graduates are completely exempt from Undertaking the Foundation Stage of CILEX Qualifications.

OTHM Law courses

• Our Level 4 and Level 5 Law Diplomas provide comprehensive coverage of essential legal principles, including contract law, criminal law, business law, and dispute resolution. These qualifications equip you with the core knowledge you need to excel in your legal career and prepare for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE). The SQE1 exam tests your understanding of key legal topics. Our diplomas cover many of these topics in-depth, giving you a solid grounding in the legal knowledge required to succeed in the SQE1 assessment.
• After completing the Level 4 and Level 5 Law Diplomas, you’ll be in an excellent position to take the next step toward the SQE or further higher education in law. The qualifications serve as a valuable gateway to the Final year of Law degree enabling you to get a Full Bachelors in law, Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC).
